July's Car of the Month is the 1937 Ritter Outboard Midget!

Read up on this month's feature car below, and learn all about this historic midget car!

Originally built and owned by Johnny Ritter and designed based on Detroit University’s football team colors- it’s by far the most famous outboard powered racer of the “Golden Era” of midget racing, holding several championship wins and titles. These titles include but aren’t limited to the National Flat Track title, the Heiserman title, and AAA Castle Hill Champion. It was initially restored by Joe Gertler of Riverhead, Long Island, NY. At the time of its restoration, it was noted that this car was one of the most significant pre-war race cars ever restored!  Want to know more and see this historic marvel in person?
